No go with ftp

My first post in ages, so maybe I'm overdue for a problem ;-)

Can't access my account by ftp.
Upload script fails, and so does any attempt to access my data by ftp.

However my account panel says everything's online - including ftp.
No trouble visiting my page in a browser.
CPanel and PHPMyAdmin all working perfectly.

Can someone advise what's happening? Thanks.

Will do, Ross. Apologies for putting this in the wrong place. It's so long since I needed to post anything at all (which says something pretty good about x10!!) - I don't think support tickets even existed last time. So I thought that was what this forum was! See you on the support site ...
