A genuine fault like this would be OK to submit though - providing there aren't already loads of threads here, all with people with the same problem, all saying that they have reported it.

    Sorry to post this here if it doesn't help you, but a lot of people haven't spotted this new post from Corey yet ;

    Re: Suspension for high-usage?

I received the same suspension message early this morning for the same server Lotus. I did not submit a ticket.
I was trying to run the installation of a message board forum for my website which has no pages, no scripts nothing. I have read a lot of posts in the forums about getting started, adding chat, discussion forums, etc. in order to understand what to do and how to do things.
Then I spent all day waiting yesterday for cpanel to come up with something other than a blank page. This was the first thing I have tried on this site. It is very disappointing.

    Same here.
My site is based on KMPortal and phpBB3, i think i have no chance to improve resource usage.
Though hope it was by mistake.

I'd like to add my name to the 'Totally Unsurprising List of Those Surprised to be Suspended'.

Maybe we should all take a week off?

Like previous posters, I'm not going to issue a support ticket in this current climate either. I'll just go sit and wait and hope with the others...

    Re: Suspension for high-usage?

Following zer-r's guideline, I've submitted a ticket. Hoping they'll look into it ASAP. But the blank page problem was resolved this morning for me. PS: I'm in a different time zone.
Lets hope we get back our sites and return to our hosting at the earliest

    Re: Suspension for high-usage?

Now, i decided not to open a support ticket. Since some of you are in lotus, which im too are having the same difficulties with the suspension issue. So i guess, I didn't use resource that high. =) Its just the normal days where the server is down.

    Re: Suspension for high-usage?

I just hope that Corey's new "server resource monitor " can be set to different trigger levels if needed.

If the suspensions issued are not caused by server upgrade problems, & if the posters here are correct in thinking that their websites aren't resource hogs, then it sounds like the threshold is too low & needs adjusting.

Note the "ifs" though. I just wish we had clearer guidelines on how much is too much, & how to tell what our sites are currently using. This is not just for people who are currently suspended - but is also for all those people who may get suspended in the future.

    yup good points there zen-r

most people with static sites or fill-in-forms wil be fine.

its the forum software with lots of mods that "do things", chat servers, shout boxes, etc (and the other stuff Corey mentioned) that will cause the monitor is react.

    Edit:

I got it by using FTP, I was transferring 160 files equivalent to 1.5+mb. The last thing i know few minutes after that I got suspended. The files was just themes for my wordpress blog.

Do anyone knows how to reduce the speed? My transferring progress is 1 files at a time. And I don't want to use a lot of resources when using ftp files. I'm using FileZilla as my method of FTP.

Can anyone help me how not get suspended again? tips maybe?
make sure you go into the advanced options of FileZilla and don't use more than one connection. By default most FTP clients will open as many connections as they can to upload files so its a faster process. BY limiting the FTP client to only one connection you should be fine.
