Apache Welcome Page Showing Instead of index.html

Hi there, please help. When I access my free hosting at this url:
http://novafilesystems.x10hosting.com/
it just shows the apache welcome page. I can't view the index.html that I placed nor the joomla installation that I set up.

Make sure your index.html file is in all lowercase. Did you delete the placeholder index.html, or overwrite it?

This is happening on my website as well, (http://nicolettejohnsonphoto.x10hosting.com) and my index.html is the correct one. Please help, this is really urgent.

I have changed my domain from nikad.xhosting.com to nikad.net and I am having the same issue.

I have checked that index.html exists (lower case) and tried placing it in the public_html (/www) folder, a sub folder called nikad.net and in the root folder none of which worked (the later two I did not expect to work!!)
