Patch to overcome 4 players limit in NFS: MW over LAN

I am searching for some sort of a patch to overcome the maximum limit of 4 players in a single game of Need For Speed: Most Wanted over LAN.
Can someone help me?

No there is no patch to overcome the 4 player limit. Sorry....

Well, I have reason to think otherwise. I know of a couple of colleges where the game has been played (intra-college competition) among upto 32 players over LAN!
Unfortunately, it's going to take at least over a month to track the source (since all colleges are closed). And I wanted to play it at the local LAN parties in the holidays..

So I was wondering if anyone here has a solution..

I'm not sure if the game supports online play, but if it does and that supports more than 4 players, and you have enough consoles, try setting up a private online game?

Well, it is not possible for us to resort to online play owing to certain reasons.

For this reason, I am looking for the LAN solution only.
