With images, your front page is over 1M. Too big. Page loads too slow.
bg2.png is 150K and bg4.png is 350K. ad1 and ad2 avg 150K.
I don't think you are getting your 'bang for the buck' with those images.

This is your big background image as a jpg with 75% quality. It's 19.5K compared to the png 350K.

I just downloaded it, threw it into GIMP (free software) and saved it as jpg

Very nice pages!
But some of the photos are stretched. You may want to crop those images with better proportion.
For example, the DSC02416.JPG is scaled from 270x480 (original size) to 200x150 (html size).
You can use Photoshop or other editing program to crop it with the proportion of 200:150.
Then if you want, you can resize it into 200x150, which is the exactly same size showing on your html page.
My English is not good. Hope you understand my writing.
