ya I don't really like the 3px border or w/e but i love how the scene continues on both the left and ride sides, very nice! 9/10

Side images will be cut if user resolution is too big.

Add a little bavel work to it and make it look a bit web2.0 That would spice it up. I don't like the background for some reason. I don't know it doesn't seem to fit. However, I don't have any suggestions either.
Just out of curiosity, where would you add the following:
- pages
- archives
- categories
- blogroll
- calendar
- meta
I don't see your design allowing any of that to be placed unless you split those up and put 3 on the left column and 3 on the right
