Need Some Ideas on Building an Online Community

Hi all,

I would like to build an online community for car enthusiasts so that they can create their own profiles and load their car photos to share them. They will also have the ability to blog about different things and post to forums.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what platform is the most customizable and scalable?
I have played around with Community Server a little bit and so far I like it but I would just like to see if anybody has anything better.

I think.. you can go with PHP / MySQL.
PHP will help you with resizing your photos and making them small. I am sure you will need this since people may post huge pics.
You can have MySQL to handle all database.
AJAX is a good way to make your site more efficient.

It offers all that you want
Requires no skill, requirements being PHP, MySQL, on your server.

do you really think you will get a reply anytime soon?

this is causing a disturbance in the topic flow with old topic being revived causing the new ones to drop out of sight, and don't get answered. It would do the whole community better if they just stayed dead.

also, you have posted with the same criteria in many other posts, and they have been closed due to you reviving old topics, so you should really stop reviving old topics
