    text size question

Ok , well this isn't really about any scripts, i was just wondering what the general rule of thumb is when deciding on the size of your text on your site? Is there a general size to use so that it's not too large and not too small?

Just wondering , might seem silly.. but you dunno

    Thanks

    Re: text size question

Important thing to ask is can it be read comfortably?

If you cant read it, then its too small, but make sure it fits in with the design of the site, too many time i see a good website then some huge font that looks out of place.

Just make sure it fits comfortably with the rest of the site and isn't too large. For example, you'll want to have the font be h1 for the page header, h2 for each individual section, h3 for actual text, h4 for footnotes, etc.

Well, keep in mind that if people can't read text, they will generally lower their screen resolution (bad) or make their system text size bigger (good). Use a standard 12pt like font in your web pages and that should work nicely.

AFAIK: 10pt is minimum for printing.... 10.5 is comfort.....12 is luxury....
For screen read fonts i usually go with 11~13pt.
    Cheers,
