Index page won't update correctly

Ok, I need to ask this because I've been trawling the forum for a while and can't find the answer. My site loads this page (http://cuted34th.x10hosting.com) as the main page, but I want this to be the page that loads when you type in the url (http://cuted34th.x10hosting.com/index.htm)
Why does it still load the old index (even though I can't find it with the file manager, only the new one is there)?? Am I missing something? Someone please explain this to me.

I seem to be having the same problem updated my html files and uploaded the them but the old version still loads no idea why as i even tried deleting old files. does anyone no what the problem might be

did you 2 try emptying your browser's history or cache, it probably because your browser or computer isn't recognizing that the new index is newer than the old file stored on your computer.

CuteD34th and Chioma, you need to clear your browser's cache. (Normally pressing "Ctrl + F5" works).

hi guys thanks for replies but ive already tried deleting history and temporary files but that did'nt work. has it anything to do with where the files are i've placed them in a folder in my home directory...cant understand what the prob is.

Well when I view both the URLs you gave in your post, the pages are identical.
