problems with e-mail adresses

Hi, I'm new here at x10 hosting! I have created an e-mail adress but I can't send or receive e-mails! When I try to send an email:
ERROR:
Message not sent. Server replied:
Connection refused
111 Can't open SMTP stream.

And when I try to receive a mail from my gmail accound it doesn't come in!

Can anybody help me?

smtp is down on that server, you have to wait for it to be back up...
