I am new here and I need help with installing joomla 1.5.

when i get to step 4 with joomla intallation - database

i got this error - "Unable to connect to the database:Could not connect to MySQL"

the database i assigned is - mysql-boru.x10hosting.com - is this correct?

please help.

Use localhost in place of mysql server host

What are the database and usernames you are using?

They are like yourcpanelusername_database name, username will be yourcpanelusername_databaseusername

Hi! it worked! but i tried it with wordpress. I suppose it will with joomla too.

problem was i just typed only the last names after the underscore. whewww!
