Hi, I'm a very new newbie with a question.

I've just started a website today, my very first website ever, well, it's kinda yucky, I don't wanna post a link yet...

I'm just wondering though is there any way to set your homepage as the default page of my site, currently my homepage URL is similar to:

    http://mysitename.x10.mx/homepage.html

and I want it to be:

    http://mysitename.x10.mx

Thanks, I would appreciate any help, tyvm!

Cool Re: Hi, I'm a very new newbie with a question.

    Hi!

It is very easy to just change the file name: homepage.html to index.html.

Hmm, the URL of my homepage just changed to:

    http://mysitename.x10.mx/index.html

Is there something I'm doing wrong? It's in the public_html folder in cPanel.

if you change/rename the file name from homepage.html to index.html in your public_html folder.

    This should to the trick.

Re: Hi, I'm a very new newbie with a question.

    The URL is now:
(I guess my sites fixed up enough now to post the real URL, I'm trying to build it pretty much from scratch, so it may not look the best.)

    http://pixelhoot.x10.mx/index.html

I guess that's okay now though, I added a redirect from http://pixelhoot.x10.mx to
http://pixelhoot.x10.mx/index.html and it seems to be working okay.

    Thanks for the help.
