hi im returning to xhosting after being away for some time, im wondering my account has been removed because of inactivity is there a way to restore my hosting account and retrieve all my files

Great to have you back with us! As outlined in the Terms Of Service, there is an automatic suspension policy if you do not login to the forum at least once every 31 days. No posting is ever required. After your account has been suspended, you have 14 days to unsuspend it failing which, the account is then automatically and deleted along with all files in it. This prevents any obsolete accounts from clogging the system. There is no way to retrieve thus deleted files. what if i was to ask really nicely and offer to pay the have my files restored, anychance?

I'm sorry dacalster, I don't think they could do it even if they wanted to. It's like when you erase something on your hard drive and it's instantly overwritten, as opposed to deleting it, where the data only gets selected to be overwritten at a later date. From the time of automatic suspension to the time the account is removed, you have 14 days to unsuspend. Then the account is automatically removed and info is gone. I know how hard it is to lose data, but at least now you know how to avoid that from happening in future.
