Cpanel account different from forum and hosting accounts

    I'm new here....

Why aer there so many different accounts?

What is the default password for the CPanel account? Is it the same as the hosting account?

I reset my CPanel account and I was to receive a confirmation mail, but it hasn't come in say 2 hour...

Um, because there is? You have a forum account to talk on the forum and a hosting account to do your hosting.

I don't think there is a default password. The password to Cpanel is whatever you set it to be. Cpanel is your hosting account. You use Cpanel to do what you need to your hosting account. ( Like E-mail, MySQL, etc )

I reset my CPanel account and I was to receive a confirmation mail, but it hasn't come in say 2 hour...
Have you checked your spam folder and are you sure you set your e-mail address correctly?

Re: Cpanel account different from forum and hosting accounts

I seem to be able to log into x10 hosting but unable to log into Cpanel with the same username and password.

I said reset the password, however the confirmation email has not reached me or my spam

I also seem to be unable to change account details in the account panel as the buttons seem "unpressable"

    Help!!! :P
    Edit:
How do you create your cpanel account?
    Edit:
It always says "Login Attempt failed" when I try to login to Cpanel with my account username and password.

I have a similar problem. Only signed up on the forum and for an ad-free account yesterday. Recieved all the confirmation e-mails fine, and can log on to my account info. However my cp panel won't load - so I don't even have the chance to key in a password! (http://costume.exofire.net:2082/) Bit confused as to what to do... unless it takes a few days for the thing to be set up?

I just started having the same problem just minutes ago. My password didn't work, so i reset it. But the confirmation email didn't come immediately. I'm still waiting for it...

Your cPanel account and password are the ones that you set when you applied for a hosting plan.

While your forum account and password are the ones that you set when you created a forum account.
