I came across x10Hosting about a year or so ago while looking for new web hosting companies for just personal interests; it caught my interest because it offered some very powerful (and liberal!) tools without having for fork over what little money I had -- and being a newb (which I still am), I prefer not to pay for something that I simply just do not know how to use without learning it first.

This is without-a-doubt the best-looking services I've ever had the pleasure to run across, so I hope it'll serve well as the home for the small development site for a pre-alpha MUD and LPC learning community.

Ah, look, I've derailed in my own introductions post before even getting to the point! My name is Sarah, but I'm known in the MUD-gaming community under a number of other aliases (and Parhelion is one of them). I'm big into game design and programming, and have a personal passion for text-based roleplaying games.

The site I hope to have hosted here for some time will be a development site for a RPI MUD project that is for now just called "Aurora." It's gotten a decent amount of interest so far, so I'm quite encouraged.

If it's something you really are interested in, just let me know. Actual work on the game (code, etc) won't start for nearly a year, but in this pre-alpha I want to make sure to have everything good to go to just tear into it.
