Hey, new and got some Q's to ask.

Hi. I wanted to try out this hosting service. It's got some good reviews, so I wanna see how good it is. I got some questions though. It's about the inactivity imit. I am a traveling guy. It's what my blogsite's gonna be about. Thing is, I go to a lot of places where the internet's not accessible. I go for days on end, some times months. I haven't registered for a hosting account yet, so if you need my account info, I can PM you later once I finish the registration process. I would like to know if I could work out an agreement with you all about the inactivity limit, due to my little dilemma.

I do not think inactivity is a problem. As long as you make a note that you might be gone for month periods, I do not think they will do anything with your site.

It definitely does! I just finished registering, but am having problems logging into cPanel with my password. Thing is, I can log into the account control page on x10's site with no problem. I realise now why I can't access it. Apparently, the server "stolix" is down, correct? No big. Most hosts have downtime. I'll wait it out. I even sent a request for the advanced PHP feature, so I won't get any problems with installing things.

By the by, has anyone written an offline applet that displays the server status? What I mean by offline is I don't have to check the site itself to see.

The 14-day inactivity rule is the same for everyone, what you could do is tell someone to keep logging into the forums for you, and there is no posting rule, so if you just login to the forums it'll work just fine. We cannot bend the rule for anyone because if we do it for one, the others would expect the same.
