x10hosting has to be the BEST free service I have ever had and that is a fact.

x10hosting is faster than 3 paid services I am a part of right now which are being hosted by GoDaddy. I will suggest to my partners to switch over. Does anyone think I should?

I completely agree. Except their staff stink, but otherwise, admins are great and the hosting is perfect.

Welcome to x10 w4k3upn0w! The staff in my opinion don't stink, they're just busy often times and can't get to everyone all at once. I'd apply for staff myself but I don't have the will nor do I think I'd have the time to be a staff member. Yet again I could try to be one.

I'm sure x10 makes some amount of money. How they spend it and divvy it up, I have no idea, but if the staff is all volunteers, I'm sure they're not making enough to call this a true business venture...yet. I recall seeing somewhere else in one of these forums that adding another ad-free server would help, but it was awaiting Corey getting enough money to buy one. This doesn't indicate a hugely-profitable venture from my point of view.

If they continue with good service and reasonably prompt support (given the staff's volunteer status), I believe they have the beginnings of a successful money-making venture here.

If you require 99.9% uptime and instantaneous support response, x10hosting is probably not your best choice. But if you can live within their guidelines and not expect instant perfection, x10 seems to offer more than any other free host I've seen/tried (and as much or more than some paid ones, too).

Operating x10 and answering all these support requests has to take a significant amount of time. I say "Good job and thanks!" to the (volunteer) staff.:bowhs:

Exactly, I only like the admins, the other staff members are too strict. Wayyy to strict.
