    hello there !

    let me introduce myself:

    i'm from europe (austria, to be specific) and i'm an hardcore linux-fanboy

    my intention is to set up a small site with infos and tips about linux with an interface for online hash cracking and wpa cryptanalysis and probably an lightweight sms-gateway (private usage only) some time in the future

    i'm also interested in programming/scripting (teaching myself PHP again) and gaming, (playing left4dead right now..)

    :drama:
    you're welcome to visit my (still uncomplete) site at

    thank you for your answer

    i've just read the TOS more carefully now which gave me some questions...

    i dont want to put illegal stuff/warez/crack up there, just general information about security, programming and administration and other useful stuff

    would providing LM/NT/MD5/SHA1/etc. hash functions violate TOS ?

    would my security related stuff be called hacking/password-cracking when i'm actually providing
    the needed information to make the system more SECURE ?

    you couldn't really secure an OS if you don't know what the attacker would be doing and information shouldn't be illegal, i think..

    Re: hello there !

    I'm sure that info related to security only would be fine.

    But if you have material which could be used for hacking, then that would be far less likely to be acceptable.

    If you have specific examples which you have any doubts about, perhaps you should post in the Community Support section where it has more chance of being seen by a member of staff, or open a Support ticket (though don't expect an immediate response, because they are busy at the moment with the new site design)
