World Cup - Accepting Bets | Possible 500 pt. bonus for winner!

Place your bets! What team is going to come out of top this year for the FIFA World Cup 2006?

Rules

• Minimum 50, maximum 5000 points.
• All bets are final as of June 29th, 2006 (bets must be in/raised before the 30th).
• Bets can be raised once placed, but not reduced (no refunds).
• Betting on more than one team IS permitted (place seperate bets).
• No house gratuity!
• No cash bets, or of any other form other than points will be accepted.
• House (me) cannot bet.
• Bets cannot be switched from one team to another.

In the event that nobody chooses the winning team, the most recently eliminated team will be used to determine a winner (etc. until somebody wins).

Instructions

1. Donate 50-5000 points to Cynical, specifying the team for the donation "reason" (example reason: "USA for WC 2006") . I will be carefully keeping track of what I recieve for bets -- I'm an honest guy!
2. I'll keep an updated list online with all the bets (see below).
3. Payouts will occur after the final game (July 9, 2006). Please allow me at least a day after that to get all the numbers straight before I start sending out the points.

Payouts

Payouts are based on how much you wager and how many people are betting on the same team as you. If everybody bets for the same team, you get back exactly as many points as you wagered. If you are the only person betting on a team and that team wins the tournament, you will recieve an additional 500 points from me (Cynical)! Also, the wagerer who bets the most total amount of points will recieve 300 points regardless of whether or not their team wins.
