Full website creation ( Contest / Request )

Since this thread ( CLICK ) has gotten a bit of attention regarding the design and layout of my site, I have decided to make a small contest ( Which I hope is allowed )

Points offered : All my points as of Feb 18th, 2007
Requirement : 4-6 samples of a complete layout / design for an Animal Crossing website that has the A.C. information from Here and here that has a style and look all its own.

Since a few people in the other thread have made suggestions that they could make something better than what is currently set, I have decided to make a small contest and put to vote the 4-6 designs that are submitted here. The winner getting the points. ( Currently at 4000 )

Offer is open till Feb 18th, 2006 when I will set up a poll to decide on the designs offered and pick the winner.

What I don't want : No Joomla. Sorry. I've looked into it, and not interested. But if you can prove and showcase a CMS that will work, then I will consider it. No Nulled Scripts ( Sorry, it violates x10 rules, and would rather not lose my hosting )

Must Have : A message forum, a live-help / e-mail support service, a donation page. ( may add more if needed ), Room for advertisements ( like Google Adsense, or others ) ... Also space for banner rotator / link exchange.

So, all you designers out there ... here's your chance.

I'm gonna recommend you to use CMS called CMS Made Simple (www.cmsmadesimple.org)

Because, of the CMS software I have seen, it limits you on setting up a navigation section [Extra module to handle menus, which uses (like rest of cms) Smarty features. For example make active item and parent(s) of it bold, different style per level of depth...], has people sign in ( which, honestly I don't need. Sign in for what purpose?) [No login in front site, possible with extra module]

Some more id to hi-light:

* Add pages not show in menu or not seen at all (inactive)
* Uses Smarty template system, that means you can use if and tags like that inside cms
* Custom tags, where you can add your own php in it.
* Caches content, witch makes it faster

I guess you didn't quite read the inital post. I, personally, am not making the website - so recommending a way to make it ... basically falls on deaf ears.

This thread is based from another that Zenax made, and had people saying they could do better. I personally do not like CMS's ... ( I tried Joomla and would prefer not ) ... If you would like to use this CMS you offered and can show me that it can look well doing what I am after ... then I would be happy to take a look at a rough draft of the site and put it in the list of the others to be voted on later.

If I have the time, I'll either set up a site on CMSMS, or just plain old Smarty. Just finished working on a very simple layout in Smarty for a game modification site.

I'll see how much time I end up with. :P

The idea of the website that is being set up, is that it is NOT based on any CMS what so ever. It just needs to be a basic simple website.

I am quite puzzled why I show a website or two that I am wanting to emulate and each person throws Joomla at me, or another CMS type system. But, they just throw the software at me and say that is what I need.

No, what I need is someone to design a website based off the information I have given. Not give me a system and tell me "There ya go" ... If I knew how to do what I wanted, i wouldn't ask.
