This is not a warez thread, but if this is against forum rules, please lock it. I don't believe this is at all illegal if they're transferring their legal serial key to another person (it's really no different than someone selling their whole copy).
I've already got a boxed copy of Doom 3 and a legal, working CD key, but I want to play online co-op (http://d3opencoop.com/) with a friend at my home. I've considered buying an extra used copy online, but since I've already got the legal installation files I'd rather just get another key and not wait for the packaging to get here. I'll allow you to name your price in credits, but if nobody here offers within a reasonable time I'll just buy another boxed copy for $6.
In order for me to know the key is legal and valid (I will not pay you credits for a keygened serial), I will have to input it into the cdkey validation box, and Doom 3 will check online to determine if the key is legitimate and not in use. Your illegal keys will not work and there's a good chance I'll report you for trying to defraud me and for distributing warez. Since I've got to check it first, this means you'll have to be able to trust me enough to send your key before I send any credits. I've been here a while and won't try to scam you.
But i doubt anyone here will have the key...
