the issue you have is that "asp.net" returns like 600 results, i have looked at 30-40 of the first results, all which just say use the search.
I don't need it, but i was bored, and decided to see why people are always asking.

well, it not very clear. It's working on my site with no mods from me but it is shooting errors. I am beginning to think all the problems that the users are having in related to the server configuration and the fact that there is no knowledge base articles on asp.net.
I guess we have to wait for x10hosting to finishes their work on the servers and hopefully somebody on staff will be able to make a post with all the answers so that all the mystery will be removed.
For me, I am going to consider asp.net not working and I'm not even going to try until somebody at x10 can confirm it is working and give us clear instructions on how to use it.

There aren't usually so many asp.net threads. So I'm inclined to agree that there might be a problem at the moment.
Edit :
Good news (fixed) ;

As long as I've been here, there's at least one ASP.NET question every couple of days.
I suggest a sticky that says "ASP.NET PROBLEM? Switch to PHP."![]()

i want to see you tell a security expert to run php on windows.
Given I'm sure its improved(i don't remember when, but i know at one point, live php on windows was a no no), i would still suggest running php under linux
