which university is the best ?

today, my school hosted an exhibition for various US Universities.
Can You tell me which one of them is the best ?

1. Depauw University
2. Mercer University
3. Manhattanville College
4. University of Hartford
5. Northeastern University
6. Penn State

i want to go to study in US after school, and since these have been refereed to me by my school, therefore i can trust these universities

Depends on what you're studying. I've only even heard of 1 and 6.

I've also only heard of the first and sixth ones. I actually got an advertisement from Depauw University yesterday in the mail giving me a special priority application opportunity.

I've heard of the sixth one only, and this is from the West Coast. So Penn State is known a little bit around here. Not sure which one out of the six is the best though.

that's call early notice, if u participate in that then they will tell your status before hand before the final result.

MIT is the best i know, but do you know how tough is it to get in, plus only a handful of international students are selected for MIT ( and i come in international ), and i am not that super rich or intelligent to become one of those handful internatioal MITian's, even though i will try at least once to get in.

Average scholarships (grants) for international students at MIT are roughly equal to the costs of studying there, so money shouldn't be an issue for international students, if you manage to get in. The main problem with MIT for international students is the whole load of forms you need to fill in + sitting SAT tests, which are however quite easy. (I'm not sure about the American system, but are SAT tests the end of school tests? Since they seem even easier than British exams.)

Edit:// Forgot you also have to arrange separate interviews for MIT... Luckily you can usually have them locally.
