    I don't even use IE to download Firefox - I download Firefox with Firefox, then reinstall. :D

    As for Windows Update, Vista and 7 have a Control Panel app.

    IE is crap i have only used is to download FireFox and then i have delete it from my pc.
    IE is full with secereti bugs.

    When I install Windows first time, I need this to download other favorite browsers, It is also useful when you want to check how your site it looks in IE and what is broken in it.

    I don't have any other purpose than this.

    IE is the probably one of the first but the worst browsers that I have used ever. Once I found out about firefox and chrome ie was forever gone in the back of my brain.
