Laws about freelance designs and Taxes

I create logos, Graphics and Websites and various other Print for people.

I used to offer my services for free but now as I am more experienced I have started to charge small fees to cover my time out into the design work.

I was wondering on any laws i may have to take into consideration regarding taxes etc?

All my work is my own and created purely by myself.

Just wondering is the tax man will chase me or my clients up?

Technically, at least for the US, any income is supposed to be reported no matter where it came from. Therefore, you should report the income on your taxes. If you get to the point where it could be considered a small business there would be other rules that are far too complex for here.

That said, will they chase you down? It's not likely unless you're making a good deal of money off of it.
