In this case, I'd suggest purchasing a VPS (either from here or elsewhere, but don't discuss the "elsewhere" here). A vps could do all the things you probably will ever need, and there aren't restrictions as to how much you use (except for the limits set by the package). I'll look up VPS' thanks for the idea.
In answer to your third question, it costs a lot to run a hosting company. If you were looking to do this, you'd need a fair amount of money. With cPanel, billing systems, servers, etc, it would cost a lot. Especially since you (I'm assuming) are also a novice at Linux computing and managing services and servers. So I'd say starting a hosting company is not only silly, but not needed.
