how to close a thread

How do I close a thread?


If I can't close it, then how does it get closed?

Members with rank Moderator or Above can close thread. We don't have enough right to close even our own thread.

Only moderators of a certain section of a forum or global mods/admins can lock threads. Free Hosting in the past was the only place where normal members could lock their threads. It was hardly used however. I'm not sure if it's still set to allow normal users to do that today though. If you do need a thread locked, let a moderator know. They will lock it for you.

It is not allowed. I've opened few threads in the past but never got any option to close my threads.

It was enabled before you joined when we were having old version vbulletin ,in 2009

You could just insert a string of curse words, ad links, and (better yet) extremely inflammatory content. Guaranteed to get the thread closed
