SSH Shell Hosting

For premium x10 accounts I noticed it says that it allows shell hosting and I was wondering to what extent?

Would I be able to run my own BNC from it? Or an IRC Bot? Possible an entire IRC Network with IRCd and Srvx?

You can get SSH access to your site to run command line things.

You'll need a VPS to run what you just said.

Not necessarily - unless restrictions have been placed onto the shell, you could theoretically build the programs he's talking about. What he's saying are "command line things."

You could try, but you would be suspended and removed from the server much like what happens on the free server. The rules are not there to be broken.

On paid, you would get a warning and then if you continued they would lock down your account and probably tell you to go to a vps.

Otherwise you could probably do a wide variety of things in the shell, like console based administrating of databases, compiling C/C++ programs(possibly for CGI), etc
