Yes, many here use them. Google analytics being the most common but there are others. It all depends how much information you hope to get from visitors.

thanks.. cause im just a lil bit mixed up on those scripts and ip spoofing mentioned on our TOS..

A lot of the loop-holes for ummm ... 'creative and unusual scripting' shall we say on the free servers have been plugged so it is unlikey you will run foul of the rules.
