Why does WMP12 pause playing at the middle of playing?

Today, I try opening muisc all day. Windows media player 12 was paused playing after 20 minutes automatically. Then I need to Resume it manually. I am fed up with this work. Can anyone help me?

Using it for long, never had that kind of problem.
Though I prefer VLC over it, still use it sometimes.

I honestly wouldn't know how to answer this besides trying an uninstall and re-installation of it. It might just be an issue with another piece of software messing with it but it's hard to say.

Also there could be an update to fix this, try running windows updates

Music? Use Winamp. WMP is horrible bloatware.

Were you playing .mkv?
Did you verify with the backend processes like skype or tvu player or radio running in parallel?

cause your spacebar (pause) is in the middle of your keyboard...
