redirecting subdomain to a freehosting account.

I have this domain pc-tips.in that points to a blogger.com blog.
Now I want apps.pc-tips.in to point to a different hosting site , preferably x10hosting.
Is this possible? If so please guide me how. I am very noobish in this area .

What I think I have to do is create a new A name record or Cname record and point it to my hosting 's ipaddress. But i am not sure if that can be done with freehosting/x10.

Please guide me.

Hello,

You need to add A record to your server ip(x10hosting server ip) by going on your domain registrar`s control panel. Then go to cPanel and add domain apps.pc-tips.in there...

almost there..
ok so how do I figure out my x10hosting accounts server ip address ?

Also this process takes 24 hours right ? (for the dns to propogate or something..
