Want me to rephrase? I will get 50% you will get 50% of PROFITS... What are profits? This is simple... Money left over after hosting expenses or necessary servers...

What are the expenses? 0 $ ZERO DOLLARS, why? Because I'll pay for EVERYTHING to START THIS

What is the potential... Do you know how many people join memberships and don't even do anything with it? You all probably have a gym membership, I bet you all don't even go to the gym more than 3 times a month if you go at all! It's true people pay $$$$ ON A MONTHLY basis and don't even use the service!

With 100 members to join a membership at membership site X each at 20$ a month that is 2k A MONTH. BUT chances are the price is not 20$ or will not stay like that at all times.. Most membership sites cost around 50$ a month, or 97$ a month...if you can offer real great quality of services or information Within the first 3 months you'll maybe get 100-200 members to join if you aren't experienced in the membership business. That right there 200 members at 97$ a month is ... $ 19,400.00 A MONTH

LET ME SAY that a membership company based system is the most profitable existent in the WORLD...UNLESS YOU ARE A MONOPOLY...

I am basically looking for people who have an interest in making money online, on a monthly basis. Do some math and you'll see this is very profitable.

I want to start a membership site that is all about XYZ

That xyz will depend on what the members who want to be a part of it fully decide.

So that is why this thread exists...If you have ANY INTEREST at all in making money online, or if you have an even greater interest in running, or help run a membership site, then please reply to this thread with your thoughts.

You all choose the subject, we all decide on subject/s xyz's and we share the income.

What is it that you can offer online? Intellectual information, a special way to do x, or your interest in body building and weightless, what is it that you have a passion for?

Now take that passion and just think if there are others like you out there...if there are, then you just found yourself a membership topic.

If you have any interest at all, I am open for suggestions, I will start it with you, we will make money. There is NO WAY we are not going to MAKE MONEY.

When you all put your ideas and say in your interest to be a part of this, then we can get the ball rolling, we can put some things together to further benefit OR if there are for example 2 groups created 1 for idea X and 1 for idea Y.... We'll start both.

I do own membership sites...1 is fully operational, virtualhotels.lagronsinc.com is a work in progress (haven't worked on it in a month or more, since april if I'm not mistaken)...then there is a Betting School, Owned by Lagron's Inc. that I am also working on, on my spare time.

It may sound too good to be true, but do some research online if you like, you'll see how many people join membership sites, and what the averages they are paying are at, some people pay 20$ to be a member at x while others pay 50$ to be a member at y, that does the same thing as x.

The membership business model is unique in 1 way.

It is unique in the fact that it you only need to get a client once, once you get them once, they are with you for as long as you interact with them (create a forum, mere discussions, and as long as you offer content/information relevant to why they paid money to join)...

There is a guy who hyped up his product extremely. He stated only 500 people would be allowed to join his membership site.

Want to know the price? $ 1,000.00 for the first month payment and then $ 97.00 a month afterwards.

The first day it launched, he got himself a mere $ 500,000.00 in about a weeks worth of people joining. He made it exclusive, invitation only after a couple of months. Neil Strauss was his name, he offered a service/information with support and even though the market is SMALL, he made his money.

----That is a EXTREME case of INCOME.

Speak to owners of other membership sites you'll notice it does take time if it's your first one. What you will also notice is that average membership sites from novice individuals get about 100-200 members to join in a span of 2 months.

That is low, but at$ 20.00 a month that's some very nice extra income at $ 4,000.00

Worst case scenario I have found is that people don't get past 200 members joining. But that still doesn't mean your not making that $ 4000.00 a month.

People join membership sites because that membership site offers something they are willing to hand you money to get more information on.

$ 20.00 is not much AT ALL, people waste that much going to McDonalds for lunch.

What tends to happen is that the lower the membership costs, the more people that join...that makes sense doesn't it.

So $ 7.99 to join membership x online, and receive it's full and individed support/information/specialties.

$ 8.00 is nothing, people charge $ 4.99 for some memberships.

So how do they profit? They offer information/products/services and people merely spend that 5$ to obtain it, 5$ isn't anything to a consumer looking to find out how to lose 10 pounds in a week or 2, people pay more than that for a weightloss membership.


With such low prices, at $7.99 you won't end up getting 10 people to join, 20, 50, or 100, you'll PROBABLY END UP with 1000 members within the first 4 months...if you know something about ranking well on google, if you know more...and get on the first or 2nd page...you just increased your membership count substantially.

Your either making ZERO a month, less than $ 50.00 a month, Less than $ 500.00 IF YOU are "good."

Well can many of us say they make AT LEAST 1,000 DOLLARS A MONTH ONLINE? I don't think so.

...The membership business model is made to not fail, AS LONG AS you provide the information people pay for, and a place for discussion (forums) along with 1 or 2 weekly new articles...I mean 2 articles take maybe 1-2 HOURS MAX to write, and if you know what you're talking about 30 minutes or less.



People with dedication, persistence, and perseverance...people that want to make money online, are the people that will make it.

It may sound tooo good to be true, but then here I am, hosting ALL my sites at x10hosting, on a paid account. What is it that you will lose?

Time...it's true, if we don't get through all the steps required to create a successfull membership site, we will lose the time we spent...

I don't like having my time wasted. Why start something that could have made a couple thousand a month, and leave it unfinished, to have lost all the time you have put into it?

With this thread, I hope to gain some people that want to help run a membership site, that they agree they want to run as a group. With this thread, heck I wish I could get 2 groups of people to start 2 membership sites.

If you guys feel I'm going to scam you..go ahead report me to x10hosting.com I am sure that will be a relief to know that I don't care about such an incident, but I know I'm not going to scam anyone.

The membership business takes time, doing it alone is not reccommended but is possible, and thus will TAKE LONGER to complete.

With people, with a common and heartfelt goal to make $ 1k a month from a site that is 100% POSSIBLE.

So it's 3 people for membership site x excluding myself... wow, we all just made 250$ a month...and will probably make more, since more people are to eventually join.

I am confident, that with a goal set, and people to help reach that goal on our spare time (which I honestly have a lot of) we can make ourselves money online, monthly, with a membership business.

Just give the membership business model a try, what do you have to lose? TIME. That's it.

And the only time you will lose TIME is when we don't finish the membership site.

This sounds brilliant. I'd love to be involved. With summer coming up, I'm going to have lots of time on my hands.
My interests centre mainly around the field of technology, current events and that sort of thing. I think it leaves a lot of scope for specialisation and expansion, as well as article writing. Of course the downside is that there are already lots of sites providing that sort of thing. However, my interests are far and wide, and I would be willing to contribute to something new. We could write tutorials, or even take a completely different path.

Okay well, I don't have any doubt that a membership site will draw folks but what? That's the question and well... here's a list of my skills:

1. Joomla 1.5x Expert (still learning 1.6 but frankly it's really not worth the effort)
2. PHPBB2x-3x (yes I can bridge the two no problem and both will look the same)

wow. i am waiting to see your success. if you'll be successful then i'll try this concept in my country and my language.

but everything is available free. nearly everything! only ''hacking'' tutorial is not available and people are dying to learn it. but i don't think that anybody here has that ability to write those tutorials. and that's illegal as well.
