Did you check the page ranks for google.uk,google.co.in etc.,
Its even more interesting to find that google give a max pagerank of 9 only.

The pagerank of google.com was 10 before.

I find this very interesting because I'm certain Google.com had a 10 before. Facebook seems to be the only site with a 10 now.
PageRank isn't extremely important because it is just one ranking factor, although many people still rely on it a lot for things like advertising.
I don't think it really matters what PR Google.com has, though it does create some interesting discussion.
