    Using FTP program to access FTP

    Is ths possible on this servers FTP to access it using say Smart FTP? if so is there a certain port i have to use. I just tried connecting to ftp://username.x10hosting.com and it says cant connect,....Thanks!

    that's not how you connect, you connect to ftp.username.x10hosting.com OR (if you have a domain) yourdomain.com and there's nothing special about it, but you use your cPanel username and password to login to FTP

    ye u got ur user settings messed buh smartftp disconnects me sometimes
    n smtimes i get really pissed if im uploading smthing big
    FileZill is also a good ftp tool

    FireFTP (Firefox extension) is a very good FTP extension.. I've used it many times

    I use SmartFTP
    it works great no problems, i put ftp://domain into ip
    and username, pw and port default one 21
    that's all and it works fast
