Not sure; that's something you can ask Microsoft about ;)

yup, if you download it in Vista Beta 2, you just find where you downloaded it, extract all the files from the iso and run setup.exe, that's exactly what i did and it works fine

just to restate what blong4life said, yes it will keep all of your files and settings, programs, etc intact, as a fresh install or "custom install" would not..
