To bad, I just had this Idea for a beer company promotion, just to find out that its been done.

Story of my life. I am great at coming up with ideas, but crap at doing anything about it. If one could sell ideas I would be worth a lot more. UK

Instead of sitting on your butts having ideas, why don't you research how to get them implemented?

Inventors should realize that it takes a good deal of money to have their ideas manufactured and sold. There's original design work to be done, you have to get a UPC code, a design for your packaging, pay the agent to find, inspect, and handle the manufacturing concerns, and then there's shipping to pay and duties. But by far the worst expense is in marketing -- sometimes marketing costs are like a bottomless pit, where you continue to pour money into it and you don't sell as many as you thought. Selling your idea outright to a company often nets very little money for the inventor, so producing it independently is still your best bet. Some people have also become fantastically wealthy off of an invention they produced, so don't despair!

So why not just continue to get ridiculously drunk night after night and pity yourself.

don't forget to bang the ol lady...
