It's great.
Bonjour, je m'appelle Dewayne. Je vous présente Stephanie. Elle est ma fiancée et elle est la personne la plus étonnante que j'ai rencontrée dans ma vie. Je suis très heureuse.
:]
Tonight. Here's a god damn song. For you god damn people.
As you say... The software itself is not illegal however the content that is downloaded using them, most of the time is ....
Is just what you download.
I use it, specially uTorret, to share documents and personal files with my friends, so it's very useful to me

That is one beauty about non living things - they are never bad. It is living things like us who make them bad or illegal.
Tools never harm any one if the user do not intend to do so.
Atomic Power, you use it bomb someone or produce much needed electricity depends on us.
So yes I agree with you and other friends that p2p is not bad or illegal, it is usage of it.
It's great....But as you said it is perfectly legal but the content that flows through it is illegal(Most of it);)
As mentioned peer to peer software is not illegal, so there is nothing wrong with it. It is a very good way to exchange information, especially Torrents; I love Ktorrent. I use torrents to download and share open source software like Ubuntu.
About the content, the content is only illegal to transfer in certain countries. In my country, as an example, downloading music is still legal. So, I have the freedom to download and share any music I like; the last time I checked at least. And many music artist, like the nine inch nails, are telling people to download their music.
Most people use it to illeagally download music and videos through leagal software. People are not stopped because there are too many people doing it. Even if someone took action, it would end up with half the users of the internet in jail which i dont think is possible. Though i still like P2P software. ;)
P2P is brilliant when used in the correct ways. As has been many times here most of the content downloaded is illegal Unless you've bought your copy of it... and are downloading it from the companies P2P host. Yes some software devolpers are doing this now because more and more people wnat things as quickly as possible rather than just when the shop is physically open. So therefore if the person wants it at 2am they can't go to the shop and buy it... Which is where P2P and web downloads come into play.
Chris.
So most of you tend to use P2P, and agree that it is a good thing in existance. I feel it would be physically impossible to stop the flow of illegal content flowing through on P2P systems.
So any more oppinions on it ....?

Well, it IS very nice. I personally use BitComet. Just this latest version that forces people to have a minimum upload of 10kbps that sucks.. Mine is only 30kb so 10kbs makes my internet game's PING crappy.
Anyways, if is or not legal in my country i dont care since my country sucks and i think even the police and else got illegal softwares and stuff. Worse than that, when police make something to arrest illegal sellers, some of the illegal things, instead of destroying, the officers just get some for them ¬¬
and Neone here cant be traced since all ISP's gives Dynamic IP, that mean, everytime we turn Modem off and then, On, we get a different IP rofl xD
I agree that we share and download illegally. you know why? for example: IN USA, a PS3 is sold for what? something near 400$. Exchanging this value to my Country's money, would be just r$800 (2x the price). D you know what value is sold here? With all stupid taxes and bills to pay? at LEAST r$2,000. A Ps2 game is sold in USA for 30$ i think. Here instead of be r$60, its r$350! That's why i agree that we download illegal stuff and everything. And a P2P help a LOT with that ;)
