I love Japan and all that, but it's kinda no wonder the budget's gone to fudge... It's really unnessessary. They should worry about expanding for they're crowded population.

Wow, I saw a documentary on the discovery ch about a year back when this was purely hypothetical because of technology constraints. I for one like this idea, it's going to show to the world what man kind is true capable of. May sound a bit crazy but this is a good thing in terms of measuring technology and also the capacity (emphasis on this) it can hold. The only problem I'm concerned is how fast can you get to the 1st floor from floor 500 lol? They mentioned how it would take 1 hour to get from the top floor to the button via separate and express elevators.
