your opinion???

hey guys, just like to get a quick opinion on my site if you dont mind giving it a look over

basically i made the site for my kayaking club, we needed one really to be found from the BCU website, they have a feature that lets you look fo clubs in your area yadda yadda and we needed one to be found really, so i made this and found x10 (my savior in web hosting haha) and its quickly eveolving

i made it in september and its my first website EVER, so please be honest but gentle haha

Well, to be honest, I don't really like the layout. It's too bland and the navigation on the left, the buttons are a bit larger than they need to be.
It's got content relevant to what the website is about though, so thats a definite plus.
If you need a web designer, I would do it for cheap. ;)

like i said its my first site ever and yeah its bland, i know that haha, but my main goal was to get a functioning website up and running for start, now i can get fancy and change it around, got a few ideas just need to draw them up and experiment with things

yeah the buttons are oversized i know haha, im gunna scale those down int he next version, i made them that big because the logo above them over sized them and left bit gaps either side, ill find a solution!

Well, at least you accomplished your goal. Good job, I'll give you credit for that one.
To be honest, my first website was worse than ever. Just keep practicing, you'll get the hang of it. :D

I don't much care for the layout either, check out http://www.openwebdesign.org, they have some really nice layouts.

same the layout could be better and you need to work on the links it dosn't look very professional but gd for ur 1st time

You need your background to blend better with the foreground of your site.
