Just a note on Nextel..

Okay.. To those who use nextel, They have the i580, the supposedly "indestructible" phone.. It isn't.. have a friend who has been through 6 of these, in the last 3 months.. I have the verizon indestructible phone, we wanted to test 'em.. Lets just say mine won.. His didn't stand up to my fishtank, and then after that for losing it got to take a trip down the garbage disposal. Needless to say, it got chewed into pieces.. He's going to nextel now, thank god for their good warranty service which covers "everything".

I have Sprint, and I hate it. Nextel is part of Sprint, so I hate it, too. And I hate Verizon with all of my being. Cingular FTW (unfortunately, Sprint locked me in until 2009 > )

I hate Cingular =( However, I will have to get it once I decide to spend on an IPhone. But as for the actual COMPANY I like, I like Metro PCS. People complain about it, but the service quality all depends on the area. In my area, Metro is great. It even works in Publix!!! =D

Umm...never heard of it. In NYC, Cingular has the best prices, the best phones (and you get just about ANY non-smartphone free with signup), is the only carrier that supports TomTom Traffic & Weather, gets the best reception, uses newer technology than all the other cariers and has the most features and options overall. The only thing good about Sprint is that their broadband is faster, but whoopdy do, it's a phone.

Metro is a company that lets you talk all you want, no minutes, no contracts, long-distance and texts included, for like 40 dollars per month. The main complaint is the service...but my service rocks in FLA ^^ Metro is a really good company if you like to use the phone alot. The only problem is that the COOL phones are for Sprint, Verizon, and Cingular.

*snorts* Get this. Tonight, I got a text message telling me that unlimited internet access has been added to my Metro plan for no extra charge. On top of that, I can add anyone else to my line for only 20 dollars. Yes, they share my minutes...but I have unlimited minutes xD Everything is so cheap...and with good service...I think they killed Cingular in my area. =)

Cingular has global coverage and no roaming charges. Metro must not have such a great area, because I know people in 10 states, UK and Australia who have never heard of it. Additional lines with Cingular are less than $20 here and only Cingular is slowly getting service in the subway.

You're lucky =0 A great company with such cheap rates? I would get that in a heartbeat if Cingular was cool like that in my area. Sadly, Metro is the best, and apparently, there are better areas with better phone companies with better plans elsewhere >.<

Really, South Florida doesn't have much to offer when it comes to things like phone and internet.
