The best font is the font the user has their browser set to use.

I would never recommend attempting to override any settings your visitors have set.

However, for large titles and major headings you should us a sans serif font. For body text you should use an easier to read serif font.

unless you are trying to get a certain type of look..for i.e a wedding website..you would want cursive....

but for a regular website..just don't edit the user's settings

Comic Sans MS is way too overrated. I personally believe the best font for standard websites are Verdana and Tahoma.
