    Snowing in Texas

    This day is strange...
Its March, and it is snowing in Texas, which I never remember happening before.
There are huge snowflakes falling...and there is tons of snow on the ground
This is actually the most snow I've seen in my life, and I have always lived in Texas
Anyone else witnessing the strange Texas snow?

    Re: Snowing in Texas

Not me, I'm up in New York State, which always get snow around this time of year. However, for the past three years, we've had a few days back to back where our temperature IN THE MIDDLE OF WINTER reaches 70 degrees. But geez, is that odd or what!

Hey, if it is snowing that bad, at least the kids in school are probably getting a snow day! But I just checked the radar for all of Texas, and geez, is some of that snow over a desert?!

    Re: Snowing in Texas

Yeah...I got out of school early
There will probably be a snow day tomorrow too

It is very abnormal for this kind of weather in Texas since it is turning spring this month

It is even weirder because yesterday it was like 70 degrees and now its freezing!
But you know how they say Texas has crazy weather!

Yeah, geez. I just dialed long distance on my landline to someone who is a family friend who used to live down the road from us, and right now they are e-mailing me a picture or two of the storm. It's going to be a while until I get those pictures though as they still have dial-up. But this is a suprise.

I am about 30 miles north of Ft. Worth, Texas, in Justin, and there is now probably more than 5 inches of snow!

    Where does your friend live?

I don't know, honestly. Their pictures still haven't arrived (probably still uploading), but I'd probably be in for a suprise when I see those. Do you wanna take some pictures and show us?

It's not a problem, just as long as you are willing to stay on the line to upload them lol.

    Re: Snowing in Texas

Wow. So it's just like the stuff we get up north here then! My family friend's pics arrived, and they look pretty much just as bad. So pretty much, up north here we can deal with that much snow (my school never closes either, it is usually the last one closed all the time), but down there, you guys don't have snow plows so that's a problem. Expect probably 2 days of no school with that snow if warm weather doesn't arrive for a bit.

By the way, that same system is going to be hitting my area tomorrow, and is going to slam 4-20 inches of snow in my area. So yeah, if I don't have any school, I have DSL here, so there's no need for me to not get bored and have to go outside and shovel every hour.
