Problem with one of the users

nfisher....

They have posted a video on this site called "RACISM" Pow Wow Dance Video. The clip shows young white teenage girls pretending to be drinking and dancing to a Native pow wow song. Nfisher claims to not be involved with the group of girls and yet nfisher continues to post the video anywhere s/he can. Claiming that the video is for informational purposes only making things worse. The only information that the video serves is that nfisher is only carrying on the distastful stereotype of Natives.

This video has been taken off of YouTube several times and has become front news with the local media only a few weeks ago. ( http://tbay.ok.bc.ca/stories.php?id=93753 )

Dispite the nfisher saying that the video does not violate this sites TOS rules I find it odd that when signing up to post this message in these forums there is a rule that I have to accept - "By agreeing to these rules, you warrant that you will not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-oriented, hateful, threatening, or otherwise violative of any laws."

Why am I not allowed to post vulgar or hateful messages here but nfisher can post a questionable video? I'm requesting that this users account be taken away or at the very least the video be taken down and that nfisher isn't allowed to posted anything that is linked to the video - like stills of the video or posting a video that would send other members to another site to view the video.

This issue has been reported the the Administration team. The hosting account will be dealt with accordingly when one is available.

Its a good think that you reported about the video. This forum need to be a place for healthy relationship among members. And about your question on posting vulgar or hateful messages in this forum. This is a technology forum where we need to share our knowledge between the members. So no hatred around here.

I am going to close this thread so it doesn't get out of hand with other peoples opinions. But i assure you the issue isn't being brushed over, it will be resolved. PM me if you want it re-opened for any reason.

Well, first, the video is not hosted by us. Instead, there is a link pointing to Youtube, to a video which has already been banned. We cannot really deny anyone to put a link to a video in Youtube. Unless offensive content is hosted in our server, we can't say it violates the TOS. I am not fully aware of this video's content, just what I have heard about it. We will not forget this issue; however, at the moment, there is nothing we can do, as this site is not violating anything yet.

Thank you for reporting such an incident, the staff have already been notified but even though i cannot decide anything, i think he should be banned... I really don't like racism.
