Has anyone actually been successful with their site?

If you are successful with your site, (alot of viewers/customers), please post me some information on how you did it. Thanks.

I would advertise your site on forums like http://www.servertalk.org/
Find websites where people who run hosting businesses hang out and advertise there.

I posted in the marketplace. Only got me two members, and it's nearly not on the first page anymore :happysad:

    Oh well.

My original page was just a message board for school and it kind of died :P I figured that because I didn't realize that the page had been broke sense the server move (about a month or two) and no one noticed, that it wasn't important and I took it down. Hopefully me and a friend have came up with a really neat idea that I hope to put into play soon. I think it should be successful but who knows. One can only hope :P
