Well, I was watching the local news and this showed up. I thought to share it with everyone here only due to boredom. I think it is hilarious, but sad at the same time. :\

Child died after his skull was crushed

LA JOYA - The mother of a toddler who died at a relative's house will face a judge.

The sheriff's department has been investigating the death of 2-year-old Eliseo Gonzalez Jr. He was sent to the hospital with a crushed skull last week. The toddler died a few days later.

Investigators were waiting on an autopsy to confirm exactly how he died. There were unconfirmed reports the child was crushed by an obese relative.

The boy's mother will appear before a judge this afternoon. She'll likely be charged with neglect for leaving her children in the hands of someone who couldn't care for herself.

A press conference is scheduled to follow her arraignment. NEWSCHANNEL 5 will bring you the latest details as they become available.

She was leaving her son with someone who couldn't care for herself. It is quite neglectful and irresponsible but the sentence is much shorter than murder, I'm guessing 6 months to two years.

Whats unfair is you would be arrested for murder if you commit attempted suicide. Unethical as it may be, it violates human rights to be persecuted without harming someone else.

Very sad that the child died, but at this point who knows enough about the situation to say any more. The relative may have been mentally ill and unable to care for himself/herself, but he/she might also be fine apart from being overweight.

Yeah, very hard to determine what the consequence should be. Even thought the obese lady couldn't probably feel the child unless they did do it on purpose...
