May I suggest using Firefox instead. Firefox 3 has just been released and should handle most thing much better that IE.

Also it is not usually a good idea to install Microsoft Beta software, because it is often very buggy. I install IE 8 Beta a while ago, and uninstalled it about 5 minutes later because it simple didn't work.

I had installed IE7 RC3 when it was released, and it worked OK, but was slow and it bugged up during install. It took about 10 minutes to fix it to get it to be able to open up and be able to load something. I kept the beta, but then IE7 came out and I had upgraded to that. But yes, Microsoft products are buggy, even in RC3. I am a Firefox user though

I must agree with the above, I currently have both internet explorer 8 and firefox 3. I used to use ie, but after I used firefox a couple of times for testing purposes, I had to admit it was better, so I just moved to firefox instead of ie... now ie is for testing purposes (version 8 because it supports 5-7-

Well it is still a Beta, so I imagine there are kinks to be worked out.

I suggest FFv3 as well.. works great and has numerous extensions that make browsing so much easier

I use IE 8 as well and simply use google maps with FireFox (which actually is slowly taking over in my life since FF3 which is starting to be more "Vista graphics friendly" or in non BS talk, it looks prettier and fits well with the windows vista operating system, somthing that previous versions couldn't do. But the dev. tools in IE8 are simply beautiful, they have already saved me alot of time while working on my site and others. When it reaches beta 2 or RC1 I believe it will start looking even more tempting to download.

I have to disagree here. I quite like IE8, better then IE7. I tried Firefox 3, downloaded yesterday, and it lacks some things that Ive gotten used to in IE, which Id find hard to live without now. Like, for example, not being able to open exes, instead you have to save them and delete them when your finished installing.

But back on topic, IE8 is a bit buggy, but thats expected, but I like it the way its coming.

This is not aimed at bashing Microsoft, it's a 100% honest opinion. All Microsoft betas are screwy. They break stuff and they don't work. If you want a good tabbed browser that's fast and has a lot of good features, try Firefox 3.0. It's just been released a few days ago, and works brilliant.

The address bar search is brilliant (shows URLs from browsing history as you type, searches page titles too), the Smart Bookmarks are a brilliant idea, and the team really have improved the rendering engine; there's a definite speed increase when comparing to IE7 and FF2. Firefox FTW!
