I think that the Reputation system that can now be found on newer forums is an excellent addition.

I find myself giving good rep. to people that are helpful throughout the forums here but I never seem to recieve any when I've put in a good, helpful post - I know, I haven't posted that much in help topics but I have in one or two so why am I not recieving good rep. back?

Do you leave rep for helpful posts?

Do you help but don't recieve back?

This isn't a complaint at all and won't stop me helping, where I actually can, just something I've noticed.

I hardly leave rep, but I do place rep to people and I many times will get rep from people as well.

I forget to give, and don't bother checking to see if it's been received. But then again, in the grand scheme of things, what difference does giving/receiving rep points make?

I only tend to give some rep if the post is excellent, and I do mean excellent. I think if you go around giving out reps here and there for fairly good posts, it makes people think they can post and OK post and get repped.

Rep isn't really new.

I haven't been giving out much rep lately, nor have I been receiving much but I don't mind, I've already got a reputation beyond repute.

I give rep to people that have helped my accomplish something, especially if they did it for free.
I will also give rep whenever I see a post that I think is fabulous.

I give rep out rarely to people who make really good tutorials or help people out, but I have reached a level in the rep scheme where there are not many people that can actually give me rep that actually changes the number of rep points that I have. Because of this I don't pay much attention to the rep system. ;)

Well the saying is in Hindi but i manage to translate it in English hope the message goes to everybody
