Just thought of sharing my Google adsense report here.
It follows.
Page impressions per month: 7,827
Clicks per month: 30
Earnings per month: $2.37
Page CTR : 0.38%

Isn't my page CTR too bad???
Whats yours?
Or is it just for me,the page CTR is too low?

How does adsense even work? $2 a month is pretty proffitable since you are runnning on a free host right? You could use the money to buy a dot com domain or give it to me, whatever makes you happy man. btw, is that picture in your avatar really you? Because I'm starting to associate everyone with their avatars, and think that's how they really look. So to me, you're two thirds chick and 1 third latino-drug-dealing-sunglass-wearer-dude xD

So I guess that makes you a paranoid, cocaine-addicted monkey that's been awake for several days straight :P

Anyway, I wouldn't say 0.38% CTR is *that* bad. The vast majority of people online ignore just about any ad, if they don't block them. What's more, assuming the site you're referring to is tmondo.com, I noticed my eyes quickly draw away from the ads. On top of that, a lot of the ads don't seem to me like things that would apply to your target audience(teenagers). And teenagers are probably less inclined to click ads anyway.

I think you could increase your CTR with a more noticeable display for the ads. For example, placing a poll of the week or something in the middle of the ads would help to stop a person from ignoring that area. Ads do their best when they're close to attractive content, like the swimsuit models on a car ;-). Also, working to make the content more clear so the ads are more relevant(I know this can be hard) might help as well.

I kinda agree with woiwky about your ad. On the tufamat page, you can barely notice the add because everything is scrambled all over. I totally thought the left column was supposed to be the add when I was looking for it. On the mondo page, I didn't even see the ad..XP. Maybe you can trick people into clicking your ad? Like use some suuper awesome script to cloak the ad with another pic of some swimsuit models or something. OH! Free stuff. People always want free stuff. Make it free ipods or something because there are actually free ipods out there. :eek4:

I am planning to buy a paid one soon.
$2/month is not profitable for me at least for now.Remember that the minimum payout for Google ad sense is $100
So it will take long 4 years for me get the payout.


To be honest i don't wish to make any money from my site tmondo.com, it's something me and my friends do in our spare time, but it's true to say that we devote far too much time to it for our own good.
