snoof means hding your identity and sendin a sms anonimously

If you live in the US, sifn up for GMail, enable SMS in the lab feqatures, and just put in his cell # in the chatbox to the left and choose "Send SMS". Does not cost anything.

Use yahoo SMS, its inside Yahoo Messenger and also in Yahoomail Beta. But its not possible spoof,your messenger id will be send along with the SMS.
