Are you talking about the Search box right at the top of the page?
yep
Maybe you're clicking the wrong thing then?
The search box seems fine(for me). There is, however, an advert undernearth it which is to do with bravenetmedianetwork.
No. Perhaps you are using AdBlock? Teensweb is quite right. I noticed this problem a week or 2 ago when x10 changed the forum theme.
It doesn't happen in Internet Explorer, but it does in Firefox 3.0.3.
What's happening in FF is that when you click the Search menu at the top (between New Posts & Quick Links) the drop-down menu slides down correctly. But the menu's entry box & links within it don't seem to respond to the mouse moving within it. Thus, when you click within the menu, the mouse is actually clicking on the advert which is underneath it.
My temporary solution to this problem was to right-click on the Search menu, then to click Open In New Tab, but clearly the code needs sorting out by x10.
Correction: I've just re-tested the problem in I.E, & now found that even that browser is having problems. Whilst some of the drop-down Search menu seems to be clickable, most of it is overlaid with an advert (just now, that really annoying talking advert for character software) which prevents access to most of the menu.
Frankly, I have become sick & tired of x10's new range of adverts & will be blocking them. I had allowed them thru in the past, in order to help x10 make money, but these are just too much for me. Many of them continually flash & make annoying noises such as the Windows error message, & if you are unfortunate enough to click one, the endless pop-ups try to trick you into installing an .exe file before you can continue or close the window. Not only are they annoying me, but x10 has gone right down in my estimation for allowing these adverts to be shown.

it doesn't happen to me, but
when i'm just surfing around it sometimes redirects to an outside page for no reason,
i think it is just because i have a virus, but too lazy to do anything about it
Yeah it happens only in firefox
Ahh I see. I'll say no more - instead of complaining about it here (where to be honest, it may or may not get picked up on by admins) put a post in the suggestions section - http://forums.x10hosting.com/project...ue&projectid=1
OK, I've posted this ; http://forums.x10hosting.com/project.php?issueid=303
Please remember to vote on that thread, so that something may get done! :happysad:

I'm actually blocking all adverts at the source, before they even reach my PC. Neat thing is, it's a Linux router running scripts to clean up pages, and it does a nice job doing it as well (it's right now doing greesemonkey like things to my cPanel page to fix up the theme). I haven't seen a single advert on x10's pages since I registered, at least on my home connection. But ad-blocking sure does help when needed.
